A Great Way To Detox Your Mind

Did you know a great way to detox your mind, is moving your body? YES! Your body.


GET UP & START MOVING! Your body and mind will thank you later. We get so caught up with day-to-day chores and activities that sometimes we don't make time to move our bodies. Find an activity that you love that forces you to move & keep doing it. For an example, I love to dance; It runs in my veins, my parents are Haitian, and they LOVE to dance. Because of them I can literally dance everywhere... & I mean every-where!

Don't believe me, just wait and see!


A friend invited me to Tabata's Twerk class in Miami, MERCY! That class is not for the weak nor for those who have weak knees. You know, sometimes we really think we got it, when in actuality, we really don't and I didn't, not even a little bit that night. The only thing I could do is show up and do the best that I could. I realized at the end of the class; how pivotal it is to move your body daily. A five minute stretch every hour is recommended, I'm lucky if I get a 15-minute stretch in; like I always say as long as you start somewhere that's what matters.

I started with a minute stretch in the morning and gradually went up to 15 minutes. I dance (move my body) every other day. Attending Tababa's class pushed me to move more frequently and to try new things, like pole dancing. I see more women embracing themselves being on the pole, they've said it has helped with building their confidence and self-esteem, made them feel sexier and in tune with their bodies and it really helped them love their body no matter their shape.


I don't just want to take a few classes during the week, I want to invest in my own pole. I want the full gear with the outfits to match; a woman who loves her body and have confidence is a POWERFUL woman, get into it! I'm not going to stop there; I was even considering aerial exercises. There's is so much to do, and I am here for all of it.


"Respect your body. Fuel your body. Challenge your body. Move your Body. And most importantly, LOVE your body.'
